			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As a promotional tool to drive <strong>targeted traffic</strong> to your web site, <strong>article writing</strong> is considered one of the key tools that should be employed. Fortunately, article writing is now also a recognized method for people to get fresh content for their sites by writing themselves or by using article directories. The popular search engines want new, creative material and content for<span id="more-80"></span> their users who are very demanding. Most internet users consider the internet to be one huge database and the search engines also see it as a giant source of information. The search engines are looking for articles with content that is unique so if you view the situation from their perspective you will understand that rewriting an article actually fulfills this criterion.</p>
<p>You may wish to write completely fresh, <strong>unique content articles</strong> in which case there are certain points you need to remember. Determine your topic first and then type in some keywords into a search engine, related to the subject and obtain enough information to write an article. Setting the article out correctly is paramount otherwise it will not flow so you will need the subject introduction which may highlight a particular problem, then a middle section explaining the subject more, finishing with a conclusion. Most are written with approximately twenty sentences or so and about four of those reserved for the conclusion where the article summing up is left. They are easier to read if they are split into paragraphs, normally about five and don&#8217;t forget to place a resource box at the end with your name and brief details including any links to sites you may have.</p>
<p>You can easily write articles for yourself or for others and it can be a very profitable business as well as enjoyable. If you are wondering how you start to write an article, then I will let you into a little secret. One of the best ways I found was to write articles based on my own knowledge of a subject, in this instance photography, but only you will know what information you can give to others. Once you have exhausted that why not try a niche market one where you could write a series all based around a similar subject.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s important to remember that no matter how good your knowledge of a subject it is good practice to maintain a proper article writing method. Writing on a daily basis will help achieve this because you will come across the same problems faced by every other regular writer but it will help you to improve. Writing this regularly has worked well for most writers as practice makes perfect. These are obviously only my guidelines and have worked for me and may not suit everyone but it&#8217;s important to remember that whatever method works for you, stick to them if you intend to write regularly.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>How to Lose Your *** in PPC Marketing (and Get it Back)</p>
<p><strong>PPC (Pay Per Click) Marketing</strong> is a very popular way to get traffic to the target site. For the most part it refers to ads run on one of the search engines (most people thing Google for this) which appear along side the main search results.<span id="more-72"></span> </p>
<p>As an affiliate we can take advantage of this, especially for sites which don’t tend to show up in the regular search results, such as sales letters or shopping site pages. However, PPC Marketing has a few traps that will suck your wallet dry.</p>
<p>First, I’m going to assume you know what Google’s Adwords program is, even if you don’t have an account. MSN and Yahoo and others have similar programs, some engines are entirely PPC.</p>
<p>1) Every single click on your ad costs you money. If you’re paying 5 cents per click that’s ok, but if you’re paying $5 a click you’d better be pretty careful.</p>
<p>It’s entirely possible to pay a buck or two a click, on a popular keyword, and spend hundreds of dollars a day. Can you afford that? How about at $5 a click? Anything Real Estate or Mortgage related will run you at least that much. Same for legal issue, such as divorce.</p>
<p>2) Not all keywords are created equal. If you’re bidding on a keyword such as “dogs” you’re gong to spend a lot of cash on pricey clicks and you’ll get very little back for it, even if you have one killer dog site.</p>
<p>If you bid on something like “rottweiler hepatic dysfunction” (a real phrase, really searched for) you’re going to have very little PPC competition, fairly low bid prices, much lower traffic, and a far higher traffic to conversion ration. Now if you just happened to have a ebook or email list related to that topic you might do ok.</p>
<p>3) Hot ads, lousy sales pages. One of the things that makes PPC marketing for Affiliates tough is when the merchant’s sales page is bad. The affiliate comes up with a hot PPC ad, maybe getting 4% clickthrough or better, and the traffic doesn’t convert.</p>
<p>You spend all your time tweaking the ad, raising that clickthrough rate, and then realize you’ve sent 1000 clicks and made two sales. For $4.95 each. $1 total commission.</p>
<p>Ouch.</p>
<p>So Ok, you’re in the Affiliate PPC Marketing game and you’d like to know how not to have your wallet sucked dry. The one word answer is lots of <em>testing.</em> Another word is research.</p>
<p>Don’t bid on any keyword or phrase that’s one or two words. Never. Try to bid only on longer phrases, trademarks, brand names, etc. Look for phrases that indicate someone wants info and/or to buy something. Use the <em>phrase match</em> and <em>exact match</em> options for most of your bidding.</p>
<p>Keep your ad groups small and tightly related. Don’t make an ad for “rottweiler hepatic dysfunction” and include keywords related to poodle training in the same ad group.</p>
<p>Learn how to make good landing pages. A person goes to Google, clicks your ad, then lands on <em>your</em> page, then clicks through to the merchant. This way you can do a nice pre-sell, so that it matters less if the merchant page sucks. You might also be able to collect names for your mailing list. The emails you send to that list might feature the merchant and related merchants.</p>
<p>Keep a close eye on sales and click costs. Some merchants have a system set up where you can put a separate tag on each ad (and sometimes each keyword.) Clickbank.com and cj.com are two of these. You may find that one or two keywords, which don’t get the most clicks, turn in the most profit.</p>
<p>If you’re building a list you can get away with click costs that are higher than your immediate sales, because, if you have a good set of emails, you’ll make a far greater profit through your list and have long term people who buy repeatedly. But not if you have lousy emails.</p>
<p>So what’s the key? Testing, tweaking, more testing, research, still more testing. You’ll probably want to pick up an Adwords book. Here are some <a href="http://www.unixtools.com/submit/tips.html">search engine tips</a> that’ll be useful for making landing pages, but you’ll want to to more research in how to build killer landing pages.</p>
<p>Keep it up, pay attention, and you might just find your wallet getting a lot fatter. Not a bad position to be in, hmmm?</p>
<p>Dwarves and Gnomes don’t much care about PPC advertising for affiliates or any other critter. Heck, they don’t even know what a computer is. But they do like to eat, and eat well. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Many cats have a life of apparent ease, snoozing in sunny windows, relaxing on a favorite couch or chair. They stretch and yawn, purr and preen, gracing us with their presence, waiting to be fed or stroked. Masters of their domain cats leave the trivialities of life to their human companions.</p>
<p>It is certainly a lifestyle to be envied and, according to some internet marketers, emulated. Getting the maximum return for the smallest possible effort is quite an achievement and something at which cats and some marketers excel. <span id="more-61"></span></p>
<p>It’s estimated that there are some 65 million house cats in the US alone, which by marketing standards would be classified a pretty good success rate. These four legged felines have carved quite a niche for themselves as one of the most popular pets in history. It might even be said that cats dominate their niche, something many human marketers would love to do as well.</p>
<p>How you might wonder did cats, solitary, secretive nocturnal hunters come to enjoy such prominence? Thousands of years ago cats inadvertently began to use some of the fundamental principals of marketing. Simply put, they provided something which people found to be of tremendous value.</p>
<p>As natural rat catchers cats provided an essential service by keeping granaries and homes free of these destructive rodents. What quickly developed over time was what might be called a symbiotic relationship, or more simply, one which provided benefits both people and cats alike. Cats had a ready source of food and, without rats people lost less grain, a win / win arrangement.</p>
<p>There is of course a lesson here which should not be lost on today internet marketers. Cats were able to become very successful by exploiting an opportunity – the need to keep down the rat population. The same principal applies for internet marketers too. Success in selling online comes not from striving to succeed but rather from seeking out opportunities where there is a clear need to be met or, in other words, a “demand”.</p>
<p>Cats also took advantage of a basic natural law which also applies to marketing, the law of attraction. People were attracted to the idea of building settlements with stores of grain and, rats, being attracted to grain, quickly followed. Cats then appeared attracted by the presence of rats in what today might be called a supply chain.</p>
<p>Behind every successful product there is some natural attraction; something that feeds into a common want need or desire. It’s a pretty basic thing really but, with a failure rate of 90 plus percent, it’s also obviously something lots of internet marketers don’t get. Filling a demand is the first principal of all marketing – but there’s more to internet marketing than simply that alone.</p>
<p>Cats didn’t get to occupy their coveted position as a prestige pet simply by being good hunters. They also provided an added value which in marketing terms provides the opportunity for an up sell. Cats really are masters of the up sell in more ways than one.</p>
<p>Cats are cute and when domesticated become cuddly companions. Not everyone loves them however, many cat owners will confirm that stroking a cat, listening to it purr can be very therapeutic, and in other words it makes us feel good. Making people feel good is one of the primary drivers in all marketing. It’s that warm fuzzy most everyone will recognize as something we really like.</p>
<p>Although often aloof and independent some cats are downright social and engaging, especially as kittens. So when you put it all together you can see the attraction. It’s easy to see how those positive feline traits would make having a cat around the house desirable. In other words cats, even without knowing it, cats have a combination of features which work together to make them marketing naturals.</p>
<p>Cat’s give people something they like, something they want, two things which are very powerful marketing motivators. Combine these with the first, which is a need and you create an exceptional market potential.</p>
<p>Cats have one final and important trick up their sleeve, so to speak. The real secret to their success comes from leveraging their position with humans and copying that success over and over. That is to say they made more cats, lots more cats. Every time a cat had a little of kittens, those cuddly little creatures are quickly given away to friends, neighbors even strangers. You might think of this as a cat’s version of viral marketing.</p>
<p>The so called gurus of internet marketing will tell you that one of the real secrets to making lots of money on line is to have others do it for you. In other words you can multiply or leverage your marketing efforts if you have lots of others selling your products. It’s one of those principals that cats used to get themselves into so many households around the world.</p>
<p>Cats didn’t need special tools to become successful. They were born with all the traits, talents and skills needed and circumstance did the rest. Internet Marketers however do need to develop a few skills and to use the right tools to succeed online. If they are smart enough to take note of the market position achieved by our beloved feline friends, some marketers may also become fat cats in the process.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p> For Internet marketers the place where the “rubber meets the road” is at the point of conversion. There is little ambiguity about this fact if you’re not making any sales.</p>
<p>Up to that point where someone actually buys something, it’s all been theory and conjecture. The acid test comes when the prospect becomes a customer.</p>
<p>Lots of marketers get it wrong and fail to convert. Even those with some serious experience can go bust with a marketing campaign. The following example might illustrate that point.<span id="more-60"></span></p>
<p>Just after the holidays respected marketer send an email to his list voicing a compliant. His gripe was about getting email promotions from other marketers right before Christmas. He noted that some of these were billed as being Christmas gifts or Christmas Specials from the promoters.</p>
<p>The marketer was so incensed by this apparent lack of marketing decorum that he opted out from future mailings from those marketers – obviously bad news for those marketers. This negative reaction raises an interesting point about email marketing in general.</p>
<p>Consider for a moment how many Christmas oriented television and radio ads you might hear in December. As Christmas approaches the advertising to which we are exposed is simply relentless across all broadcast and print media. It would be fair to say that we are supersaturated with Christmas ads at that time of year.</p>
<p>With that thought in mind, it might not seem so odd that email advertising follows the same trend. That being the case, then why would an experienced marketer have had such a negative reaction to receiving email ads right before Christmas? Does this point to something unique about email advertising?</p>
<p>There is a tremendous amount of evidence that points to the fact that <strong>email marketing</strong> is a unique format. It is in many ways much more personal than other forms of advertising. In that regard it would be wise to craft messages to prospective customers with much more care and thoughtfulness as to how those messages will be received.</p>
<p>Good copy writers already know that successful advertising copy is that which makes a connection and reaches people on a personal level. The really good ads have a staying power that is almost magical. They can be so influential as to become iconic pieces of popular culture. Advertising really does deal some very basic and primal aspects of human behavior – which can evoke a very positive or equally negative reaction.</p>
<p>Email marketing is indeed a very direct for of advertising. Unlike the so called printed junk mail which people physically received in actual mailboxes, direct email ads appear in your in box, inside your home right on your computer. Because of spam laws much of the direct email promotions people receive are from opt in lists, which means that someone has agreed to receive it.</p>
<p>Opting in might only takes a few seconds to accomplish but it’s more than simply a thoughtless act. When someone opts “in” to a list they are creating the potential for a marketer to create a relationship. Opting in is in fact an act of faith or trust.</p>
<p>Creating and maintaining trust online is perhaps the single biggest challenge for any marketer, regardless of how they deliver their advertising. It’s pretty clear from the reaction of this marketer noted previously that, trust can be fragile thing.</p>
<p>Creating enough trust to get someone to opt-in to a mailing list is clearly the first step. Moving them from prospect to buyer is an exercise in building on that trust. It is a process of building a bond with people you’ve never met; something you can only do by understanding them.</p>
<p>If a marketer sends an email message directly to someone’s in box, they are entering a special private world. The in box might well be the most important and special place in all of marketing off line or on. It is a protected inner sanctum where the nature of the relationship between marketer and prospect can be nurtured and developed or, ended instantly.</p>
<p>Putting marketing rubber on the road to so speak is all about understanding what motivates and moves your customers. Get it right and conversions will follow, get it wrong and as illustrated, click, you’re gone.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m sure you have heard that &#8220;the money is in the list&#8221;, well it&#8217;s a fact, and a <em>good autoresponder</em> will make all the difference to bank account if you treat your subscribers well, that is, give them useful information, not just your latest promotion.</p>
<p>Another point people don&#8217;t seem to realize is that an autoresponder can get your email <span id="more-59"></span>past all those spam filters, I use aweber.com, and as they have a very good reputation the ISP&#8217;s etc out there know that email coming from their severs isn&#8217;t spam.</p>
<p>Anyway, I will go into this in alot more detail at a later date, for now please read what Greg Mee has to say on the subject in his article.</p>

<h1>Autoresponders for affiliates</h1>
<p>One of the most important areas of marketing, online or off, and this includes <em>affiliate marketing</em>, is in following up with your clients and prospects. Once you have their contact information you should stay in touch, sending something to them just often enough that they remember who you are, but not so often that they’re annoyed.</p>
<p>Of course, how often this is will vary. Once you’ve bought a house and finished the deal you probably won’t want to hear from your realtor about all the new houses on the market.</p>
<p>If you’re an electronics or video game junkie then you might be interested in receiving something every few days, especially if it’s regarding sales and deals.</p>
<p>The problem with following up is that it’s something of a pain to do manually, especially as your contact list gets large. Imagine the realtor with 1000 names on his contact list sending a Christmas card to everyone on that list.</p>
<p>And then came the autoresponder. This little software email widget is a godsend to anyone with a large list of names. Especially affiliates. First, just so we&#8217;re all on the same page here, let&#8217;s define a couple of terms.</p>
<p><strong>Autoresponder</strong> &#8211; this is an email robot. It has no brains whatsoever. You send an email to the autoreponder address and it immediately sends one back to the address you gave it. Simple as that.</p>
<p><strong>Sequential autoresponder</strong> – This is the same thing, except that it will send a series of emails instead of just one. It doesn’t have any brains, either.</p>
<p>The sequential autoresponder (and we’ll just call it an autoresponder and skip the first definition) takes a series of emails, that you (or your staff) write up, and sends them in a sequence that you determine. Remember that I said it doesn’t have any brains? That means that <em>you</em> have to determine the sequence that’s best for your business. Every day, week, month, whatever. You also have to write all of your own affiliate emails and manually load each one into the system.</p>
<p>A “book of the day” sequence will be far more frequent than a “how to buy your new home” or “New Cars from Ferrari” sequence.</p>
<p>As an affiliate marketer you’ll want to come up with a series of emails to promote whichever affiliate program you’re working with. If you’re affiliated with Amazon.com, for example, you might make a series of emails on science fiction books and call it your “SF Book of the Day.” Whenever anyone signs up for your list they will get the “SF Book of the Day” until the pre-loaded emails run out. Whether you have 4 or 400 emails in that sequence then they’ll eventually get them all.</p>
<p>Of course, since you’re an Amazon affiliate, each of those emails has your Amazon affiliate link embedded in the text.</p>
<p>Each of those affiliate <a target="_blank" href="http://www.unixtools.com/submit/professional-email-tips.html" title="Autoresponder emails">autoresponder emails</a> should be more than just sell, sell, sell. At the very least, you should do a short review of each of the books in your Book of the Day sequence.</p>
<p>I’m sure you’ve signed up for a few newsletters from various marketers. Most of the emails sent to those lists are from their autoresponders, except for those few that announce something launching right now.</p>
<p>Try to write every email in such a way that your reader will look forward to the next one. We’ve all been on lists that we quickly unsubscribed from, because of the hard sell or lack of interesting content. Your reader wants to know what’s in it for him as much as you do when you read your own email, so write accordingly.</p>

<h2>A simple technique to write articles quickly</h2>
<p>If you are doing <a target="_blank" href="http://www.forfreedom.ws/affiliate-marketing-for-dummies/how-to-get-top-search-engine-rankings-with-article-marketing-23/" title="Article marketing">article marketing</a>, then you need to write lots of articles daily. If you don&#8217;t write tons of articles regularly, then you may not see much results from article marketing.</p>
<p>So how do you write so many articles on a daily basis? For that you need to write articles quickly not taking much time. I will give you a simple technique to write articles quickly &#8211; maybe in 15 minutes of less.</p>
<p>What you have to do is to decide on a topic to write. Once you have the topic in mind, jot down a few important points that you wish to cover in your article.</p>
<p>If you are knowledgeable about the topic you want to write about then this shouldn&#8217;t be a problem for you. You can easily jot down sufficient number of points for your article.</p>
<p>However if you are struggling to come up with a list of points for your article, what you can do is visit ezinearticles.com website which contains a huge database of articles on many many topics.</p>
<p>Just do a search on that website for the topic you want to write about. Then just go through 1-5 articles from the search results and note down what things are being covered in the article. Jot down ideas from these articles.</p>
<p>I am not saying that you should copy articles written by others. Just note down ideas and not the content from these articles.</p>
<p>Once you have enough points to talk about in your article, now start writing your article. Set aside a time frame of 10-15 minutes for writing. During this time, do not think much &#8211; just go on writing whatever you can about each point that you had listed down.</p>
<p>Once your time is up, review your article. Make changes wherever necessary, do grammatical or spelling corrections if required and keep editing your article until you are satisfied. Now repeat the process for another article.</p>
<p>This is a really simple and cool way to keep churning out one article after another on a regular basis.</p>
<p>Keep in mind that one of the main secrets of success with article and bum marketing could be to write lots and lots of article.</p>

<p>I wouldn&#8217;t let the duplicate content issue put you off submitting articles to directories however, this is still one of the best ways of building <a target="_blank" href="http://www.forfreedom.ws/category/oneway-links/" title="One way links">one way links</a> to your site, the problem is that Google <span id="more-55"></span>will only show <strong>one</strong> website in it&#8217;s listings to searchers, can&#8217;t blame them for that, there&#8217;s no point in showing doezens of listing showing the same content.</p>
<p>However, and this is where the confusion starts, are Google counting the links pointing to your site from all the other sites that have used your articles? Personally, I think they do, but I don&#8217;t think they carry as much weight as they used to.</p>
<p>Jack Stowe has submitted an article on building links and duplicate content, he mentions <strong>reciprocal linking</strong>, this technique used to work well, however I don&#8217;t use this strategy anymore as it is pretty much ineffective.</p>
<p>Jack does mention <strong>unique content</strong>, this is a must for any website, your website won&#8217;t survive without it!</p>

<p>In order to gain website popularity, you need links&#8211;more quality links to get a higher page rank. You have to build links in many other ways. Exchanging links is more popular as reciprocal linking. You link to other site in exchange of their link to you. You submit your blog or url address to blog directories and search engine for incoming links.</p>

<p>Google wants fresh articles and not those that have been duplicated many times. You really need to create at least twenty <a target="_blank" href="http://offto.net/jetspinner/" title="Unique articles">unique articles</a> per month for article directories submission. But if you can make more original articles the better. However, it is a painstaking task submitting one by one, you may want <a target="_blank" href="http://offto.net/jetspinner/" title="article submitter">article submitter.</a> By 2008, more websites will be forced to create more different versions of the original content at least twenty articles per month to article directories. But how much more if you can create hundreds of unique articles for article directories submission? More links, higher page ranks then more traffic, right?</p>
<p>This is just to let you know that google is serious. If you checked your backlinks you would notice that google has discounted duplicated links in your site, which have been downloaded many times in the article directories. This happened to my health blog.</p>

<p>The best way to improve the ranking of your web pages is to get it better known among other sites – especially those that are considered &#8216;authority&#8217; sites by the search engines.<br />

<p>It&#8217;s winter in my part of the world and, around here, the idea of skating on thin ice is not simply a metaphor. Falling into dangerous water is a serious risk for anyone foolish or careless enough to disregard their own safety.</p>
<p>For those doing business online the concept of “thin ice” good image to keep in mind. Experts in Internet law will tell you that, anyone who does <strong>business online</strong> is exposed to risk just a real as skating on thin ice can be.</p>
<p>The internet is a big place filled with all sorts of people, some of whom are not the kind you&#8217;d ever like to meet in a dark chat room. For people doing business online, the 800 lb. gorilla in the closet, is the potential of significant financial loss, business or personal.</p>
<p><strong>Internet marketing</strong> offers a fantastic opportunity for anyone to make money online but, it also has a dark side. The attraction of making money online is a lure that draws thousands of new marketers online daily.</p>

<p>Threats to internet markets take many forms. One of the biggest potential threats however is that of liability. It&#8217;s easy to see how the issue of liability could apply to physical products, however with information products the issue might seem a bit fuzzy.</p>
<p>If, as an example, a customer purchases a book about exercise and, is injured while doing the exercises illustrated. The marketer or author of the book might find themselves on the wrong end of a law suite even if they were not at fault.</p>
<p>Defending against such a suite might be an expensive proposition. Even if you win the costs could be crippling, if you lose you could be financially devastated.</p>
<p>Another example might be someone suffering financial loss as a result of becoming involved in money making program or “scheme” which you have promoted. You might be totally unaware that the program being promoted uses certain questionable, unethical or even illegal practices.</p>
<p>However, as is so often said, ignorance of the law is no excuse. Even if you were entirely innocent of wrongdoing you might still be held liable if you are unprotected.</p>
<p>These are just two hypothetical examples however, there are numerous real world incidents which are very important and should be noteworthy to every marketer. Understanding the realities of doing business online is the part of internet marketing where the rubber really does meet the road.</p>
<p>Even if your marketing efforts are part time and your earnings are small the risks you encounter online are no less significant than those making millions. While the risks are real there are many things marketers can and should do that offer real security.</p>

<p>In a world where being sued is such such a commonplace event, the threat of being targeted by a law suite is very real. <p>Jumping quickly into anything is unwise however, the potential legal dangers online are often not at all clear and certainly not obvious. For that reason there many that begin doing business on the internet really could end up in a precarious state with no idea how they got there.</p>
<p>Skating on thin ice is risky and foolish and, so too is doing business online without being legally protected. The solutions are simply and easy to put in place. Considering the potential consequences it only makes sense to do so.</p>
